PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide)

Known as “plastic gold”, PPS is a high‑performance special‑engineering plastic. Core features: exceptional high‑temperature resistance with long‑term service temperature of 200‑240 °C and heat‑deflection temperature above 260 °C. It delivers superior chemical resistance, barely soluble in any solvent below 200 °C and highly resistant to acid‑alkali corrosion. It is inherently flame‑retardant and reaches UL94‑V0 rating without additional flame‑retardant additives. It also exhibits excellent dimensional stability (molding shrinkage ＜0.0025 %) and favorable electrical properties. Neat PPS resin is brittle and generally modified with glass fiber or other fillers.

Main Applications

Automotive industry (largest application segment, approx. 43%): new‑energy‑vehicle motor parts, electronic water‑pump housings and lithium‑battery covers, achieving over 30% weight reduction compared with metal components.

Electrical & electronic industry (approx. 24%): micro‑connectors, coil bobbins and 5G base‑station antenna vibrators with low dielectric loss.
